Senior Group Activities/Services
Transportation For Medical Appointments
The state of PA offers a service called ‘Find My Ride’. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania offers this online eligibility service for people to apply for programs that provide transportation assistance throughout the commonwealth. These programs mainly help seniors, persons with disabilities, and people needing assistance getting to medical appointments, but other groups of people may also be covered depending on where they live and their needs. The application process does not cost anything, but you may be charged a per-trip fee or fare for the transportation services.
The transportation assistance programs you will be applying for can involve a variety of different transportation services. The providers of these transportation services will usually be local governments, public transit authorities, or non-profit human service agencies.
You, or someone on your behalf, can complete an application that will connect you with a service provider. To apply visit https://www.apply.findmyride.penndot.pa.gov .
